La Feldbergklinik è una clinica altamente specializzata in linfologia e malattie edematose.

Le indicazioni per un trattamento a regime di ricovero comprendono:
linfedemi primari e secondari-flebedema-lipedema-e.ortostatico-e.idiopatico-ed.vasovegetativo-ed .angioneurotico-ed.secondario a simpaticectomia-ed.traumatico-ed.da inattività-ed.ischemico-ed. da infiammazioni croniche-ed.cardiogeno-ed.patologico in gravidanza-ed.da carenza proteica-ed.da insufficienza renale-ed.tossico-ed.endocrino-ed. da farmaci-edemi combinati.

Il trattamento intensivo si avvale della terapia fisica dell’edema standardizzata secondo il Dr.Asdonk, che prevede linfodrenaggio manuale seguito da bendaggio compressivo e da speciali esercizi di cinesiterapia decongestionante.

La clinica offre inoltre visite ambulatoriali su appuntamento.

Edemas
Lymphedema (also soemtimes referred to as Elephantiasis) may be inherited (pri- mary) or caused by injury to the lymphatic vessels (secondary). It is most frequently seen after lymph node dissection, surgery and/or radiation therapy, in which damage to the lymphatic system is caused during the treatment of cancer, most notably breast cancer.

Complex decongestive physiotherapy is an empiric system of lymphatic massage, skin care, and compressive garments. The physical therapy is therefore the most important part of the therapy. The compression garments prevent the success from decreasing. Before leaving the cli- nic, patients will be provided with special- ly made compression stockings to wear in the everyday life to maintain the achieved success as long as possible.
